The HAY BAR system was originally devised to help a show hunter brood mare suffering from pneumonia. It encouraged her to eat from the floor and as a result helped drain down her airways. The mare recovered and we soon realised the HAY BAR system had numerous advantages.
  • HAY BAR aids digestion as the forage is taken more slowly.
  • HAY BAR saves waste, as the forage is far less likely to mix with the bedding.
  • Mares, foals and youngstock benefit, as the HAY BAR is far safer than nets or racks.
  • HAY BAR is quicker and easier to fill (even by a small child) and hence saves precious time.

Raylia Dugmore, breeder and producer of hunters and riding horses to Horse of the Year standard, has designed the HAY BAR which is manufactured from HDPE.

It has proved itself in field trials to be strong, durable and very practical.

The reaction from knowledgeable contacts is that HAY BAR is the way forward and a much needed addition to equestrian products.

Following extensive field trials Raylia formed Park Feeders Ltd, of North Yorkshire to develop and market HAY BAR.

Hay Bar first became available back in 2004 – some 14 years ago. It has now become a truly International product.

We send out orders all over the world and it is now available from stockists across Europe, in the USA and in South Africa.
